Join the City of Pitt Meadows as an Exhibits Custodian, focusing on court exhibit management and fleet maintenance. Your skills will support a new RCMP detachment while ensuring secure handling of all evidence.
This full-time role involves verifying and controlling various court exhibits, while also coordinating police vehicle maintenance. Reporting to the Manager of RCMP Support Services, you will collaborate with law enforcement to process evidence and maintain fleet integrity. Your independent judgment will be crucial in managing complex matters, ensuring both compliance and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and verify court exhibits and property items
• Coordinate police vehicle repairs and servicing needs
• Liaise with RCMP members and other agencies on exhibit handling
• Ensure proper storage and security of all exhibits
• Provide evidence in court when necessary
Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion with relevant experience
• Knowledge of police exhibit handling procedures
• Understanding of fleet maintenance schedules
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• BC Driver’s Licence and RCMP Security Clearance preferred
