About the Role
We are seeking an Expert in Honeybee Diseases to lead the development of a national-level apiculture health program and reference centre. The role focuses on disease surveillance, diagnostics, research, and AI-driven predictive systems to support pollination sustainability and food security.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead a national/regional reference center for honeybee diseases.
- Develop and implement surveillance and outbreak response programs.
- Oversee laboratory diagnostics and sample management systems.
- Lead research programs on honeybee diseases and ecosystem health.
- Integrate AI and predictive analytics into disease monitoring systems.
- Engage stakeholders, including authorities, researchers, and beekeepers.
- Build and lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure operational excellence.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Requirements
- PhD in Veterinary Medicine, Entomology, Apiculture, or related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in honeybee health or related research.
- Proven leadership experience in laboratory or program management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience establishing or managing reference laboratories.
- Expertise in surveillance systems and outbreak response.
- Knowledge of AI or analytics in agriculture or biosecurity.
