We are seeking a highly capable, motivated and compassionate professional to join our team as an AO4 Facilities Officer.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive self-starter who enjoys building team capability, solving complex operational challenges and driving meaningful process improvements.

In this key leadership role, you will work closely with the Principal, Business Manager and Executive Team to support school improvement initiatives and enhance student outcomes.

You will play a central role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the school, leading a multidisciplinary non-teaching team and ensuring a safe, efficient and engaging environment for students, staff and the wider community.

Step Into Your Next Chapter

  • Oversee and maintain school facilities and grounds for the use/hire of the school's facilities and fleet vehicles, including access permits, keys and alarms, servicing, cleaning, maintenance and identify minor works
  • Undertake and/or organise scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair requests, assigning and prioritising tasks and arranging for external contractors as required
  • Conduct and/or organise safety and security inspections across the site in accordance with the Facility Management Plan and make recommendations
  • Undertake and/or organise activities for the annual maintenance schedule including pest control, carpet cleaning and electrical checks

The Perfect Fit

The ideal candidate will bring strong project management expertise, with the ability to lead both minor and major works from planning through to practical completion.

  • You will be confident managing scope, procurement, budgets, WHS requirements and facilities operations within a Direct to Market framework, ensuring compliance with Department of Education policies and legislative requirements.
  • You will also demonstrate well-developed people management skills, with experience leading and developing diverse teams.
  • This includes coaching staff, addressing capability gaps, managing EBA processes, coordinating resources and overseeing administrative and operational functions.
  • A high level of financial acumen is essential, with responsibilities including asset management, stocktakes, maintenance of financial records, accounts payable, excursion coordination and records management.
  • To be successful in this role, you must hold a current paid Blue Card and be able to obtain a satisfactory Criminal History Check through the Department of Education.
