Position Description:
Seneca Resources is seeking a Senior / Lead FP&A Analyst to support a rapidly growing technology organization during a period of expansion and financial transformation. This role will partner closely with Finance, HR, Operations, and Executive Leadership to strengthen FP&A processes, improve workforce planning visibility, and enhance executive reporting.
This is a hands-on role focused on headcount planning, expense management, forecasting, and building scalable financial models that support decision-making. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, brings strong analytical capability, and can quickly turn complex data into clear, executive-ready insights.
This position offers high visibility with leadership and the opportunity to influence core financial processes. There is potential for extension or conversion based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with Executive Leadership, department leaders, and HR Business Partners on financial planning and analysis.
• Lead headcount planning, workforce forecasting, roster management, and expense analysis.
• Build and maintain financial models supporting budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
• Develop rolling forecasts, variance analyses, and reporting templates.
• Analyze workforce and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare executive-level reporting packages, dashboards, and presentations.
• Support monthly close, forecast cycles, and quarterly business reviews.
• Improve reporting workflows by reducing manual effort and increasing data accuracy.
• Standardize roster, census, and expense validation processes across systems.
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, HR, Operations, and Data teams.
• Contribute to process improvements and scalable FP&A practices.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7+ years of FP&A experience in SaaS, software, cloud, or technology environments.
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, and expense management.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
• Experience building models from complex datasets.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with NetSuite, Coupa, UKG, Pigment, or similar tools.
• Background in high-growth SaaS or technology companies.
• Experience creating executive or board-level reporting.
• MBA, CPA, or CFA a plus.
