🎯This is a founding recruiter role where you'll build the entire hiring function from scratch and scale the team to IPO. You'll work directly with the founders in their SF office and own recruitment across engineering, growth, marketing and ops.

🔍 Overview
We're looking for a Founding Recruiter / Head of People with 3-7 years of experience to take full ownership of our hiring process, build scalable systems, and lead the strategy to attract and hire the best talent. As we enter a hypergrowth phase, you will work directly with the founders to scale our elite, high-energy team and scrappy culture from our San Francisco HQ. This is a foundational role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, 0-to-1 environment and is excited to help build the team that will take us to a global IPO.
🧩 What You'll Be Doing:
- Own and execute end-to-end recruitment for a high volume of roles across Engineering, Growth, Marketing, and Ops.
- Work directly with the founders to advise on organizational design and hiring strategy as the company scales.
- Build a repeatable and scalable hiring funnel, auditing and improving our existing Ashby-based infrastructure.
- Develop and execute creative, out-of-the-box strategies to attract top-tier talent, including university partnerships and leveraging our marketing efforts.
- Help scale the company culture, ensuring we maintain our high standards and low ego as we grow.
👤 What We're Looking For:
- 3 – 7 years of experience in a founding recruiting role
- Experience scaling a high- growth early stage startup
- Experience recruiting for technical (engineering) roles.
- Experience recruiting for defense tech companies
- Experience building recruiting processes and infrastructure from 0 to 1.
- Proficient with modern recruiting tools and ATS, like Ashby.
- End- to- end ownership mentality; will also be responsible for culture- building beyond recruiting
- High energy, fast- paced, and able to thrive in chaos.
