THE ROLE
You’ll lead the engineering team, working as both an individual contributor and leader. You’ll make the foundational technology decisions (language, framework, infrastructure, architecture) and build our wedge products working closely with our design partners / alpha customers. You’ll work directly with the CEO and hire and lead the engineering team. You'll shape the team culture that enables us to win. This is a role for someone who wants to build the financial infrastructure of the future, not just a feature.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years building fintech systems
- Proven ability to take a product from zero to production: you’ve been the first or early engineer at a startup, or owned a major greenfield build at a larger company
- Strong backend fundamentals: distributed systems, database design, API architecture, and event-driven systems
- Security-first mindset: you think about encryption at rest and in transit, secret management, audit logging, and access controls as defaults, not afterthoughts
- Experience with at least one of: ledger/accounting systems, payment processing, card issuance, FX systems, and stablecoin infrastructure.
- Pragmatic technology choices you pick the boring, proven tool over the shiny new one when reliability matters
COMPENSATION
Competitive base salary + significant founding equity. As part of the first engineering team, your equity stake reflects the outsized impact you’ll have on the company’s technical foundation.
