Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate team member with 1-2 years of legislative experience, preferably working for a Congressional Committee, Member of Congress, or a similar consulting firm. This role involves managing client deliverables, conducting legislative research, and providing updates on policy and committee actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver client projects, including:
- Legislative research memoranda
- Policy and committee action overviews
- Tracking major legislation
- Scheduling and coordinating client and internal meetings
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of firm products, such as congressional hearings coverage and client call notes.
- Track and ensure the timely completion of due outs for clients you are assigned.
- Collaborate with executives to integrate into the team and confidently handle client workloads.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of legislative experience with a strong understanding of the legislative process.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Experience drafting legislative research documents.
- Knowledge of the Legislative and Executive Branches, including their structure and composition.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
