Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate team member with 1-2 years of legislative experience, preferably working for a Congressional Committee, Member of Congress, or a similar consulting firm. This role involves managing client deliverables, conducting legislative research, and providing updates on policy and committee actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver client projects, including:
  • Legislative research memoranda
  • Policy and committee action overviews
  • Tracking major legislation
  • Scheduling and coordinating client and internal meetings
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of firm products, such as congressional hearings coverage and client call notes.
  • Track and ensure the timely completion of due outs for clients you are assigned.
  • Collaborate with executives to integrate into the team and confidently handle client workloads.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of legislative experience with a strong understanding of the legislative process.
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience drafting legislative research documents.
  • Knowledge of the Legislative and Executive Branches, including their structure and composition.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
