Who We Are

The Office of Grants Management (OGM) provides centralized oversight, direction, and support to County departments administering competitive grant programs, and to outside organizations receiving County grant agreements. OGM ensures public transparency, ethical practice, and the integration of Racial Equity and Social Justice (RESJ) in all aspects of outgoing grants management. The office also maintains grant policy, oversees operational processes, engages community partners, and supports strong stewardship of public grant dollars.

We Are Looking For

We are seeking a mid-level Program Specialist II to support County departments in implementing competitive grant programs and administering grant agreements awarded to external entities within our community. This position contributes to the integration of Racial Equity and Social Justice (RESJ) considerations throughout the competitive grants cycle, ensures required documentation and approvals are developed in compliance with County and OGM standards, develops and maintains training resources, helps coordinate with other County departments, and supports the County’s online grants management platform.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Two (2) years of professional experience as a grantor supporting competitive grant programs and issuing grant agreements.

Education:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree. Equivalency:
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support OGM and County departments in developing competitive grant program documentation, including Notices of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs), information session materials, marketing materials, reviewer assignments, and grant agreements.
  • Contribute to building or quality checking online grant solicitations and monitor application submissions through the County’s Euna grants management platform while providing assistance to applicants, grant application reviewers, grant awardees, and grant monitors.
  • Assist with processing grant payments and approving programmatic/financial reports when necessary.
  • Be responsible for quality checks of various administrative and programmatic documents (signature requests, grant amendments, invoices, programmatic reports, etc.).
  • Conduct administrative reviews of grant applications for completeness and eligibility; generate reports and analyse application/award data.
  • Assist departments with administering grant agreements including amendments, terminations, grantee performance issues, tracking of reporting requirements, and grant management platform assignments.
  • Manage OGM’s website updates, shared MS Outlook inboxes, intranet content, and weekly OGM Newsletter/distribution through the Gov Delivery platform.
  • Contribute to the development of training modules and resources—both internal and public-facing—ensuring Americans with Disability Act (ADA) compliance and multilingual accessibility where appropriate.
  • Support required quarterly and annual reporting under County Bill 36-19, including developing tables, graphics, and data summaries using MS Excel for integration into MS Power Point, MS Word, and Adobe PDF documents.
  • Represent OGM at community events and briefings, supporting partnerships and outreach efforts.
  • Provide general administrative support to the entire OGM team as needed by coordinating supply orders, managing items for OGM Director signature, and coordinating team events.
