JOB PURPOSE:

  • Strategize Asset Integrity Management section during project development initiatives and operational phase, to ensure achievement of desired uptime reliability, safety and cost effectiveness, operational efficiencies and in compliance to the industry regulations and standards, meet customer’s requirements and benchmark against other established asset operators.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Strategize, drive and control ASM Asset Integrity Management of MISC floating terminals to ensure achievement of desired operational and maintenance profit margin target as per required compliance to the industry regulations/standards while meeting customer’s requirements and benchmark against other established asset operators.
  • Accountable in implementing ASM Asset Integrity Management activity to ensure the desired operational efficiency is achieved within the approved budget.
  • Drive the implementation of OBU’s Corporate HSSE & Asset Management policies, procedures and guidelines in order to safeguard and protect life, asset and environment. Review and maintain the ASM Asset Integrity manual and procedures to ensure compliance to the stakeholder’s requirements.
  • Oversee, provide direction and strategize the Asset Integrity Management activity to ensure desired uptime reliability and safety of the asset to meet the required KPIs set either by OBU or clients.
  • Establish the overall ASM Asset Integrity Management section budget and manage the budget to maximise asset value returns e.g., review budget variances, optimize activity costs, in the effort to be a profit centre.
  • Strategize the project management execution for related deliverables under Asset Integrity Management section to support the Life Extension projects and ASM/Client sanctioned projects.
  • Strategize, drive and control OBU Asset Management Contracts that are related to the ASM Asset Integrity Management requirements to ensure Asset Management execution activities are included and conducted effectively and efficiently as per contractual requirements, for existing and new bid contracts,
  • Engage, develop and maintain good relationship with customers, government authorities and agencies such as that with DOSH, DOE, Marine Department, Classification Societies, PETRONAS MPM, SIRIM to facilitate regulatory compliance requirements and other pertinent issues related to asset operations and maintenance management.
  • Develop leaders and motivate subordinates to achieve breakthrough performances and right mindset in meeting the department’s objectives. Promote and engage staff to foster and create a sense of courage, meaning, ownership and values as per MISC Cultural Beliefs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 17 years’ experience in Asset Integrity field with Marine and/or Oil & Gas Operations industry preferably in FPSO/FSO Operations and/or Upstream Operations.
  • Preferably Class 1 or minimum Class 2 Certificate of Competency (COC) or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
