Head of Internal Procedures & Compliance
Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic leader to oversee internal governance, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage government relations—particularly with Bank Indonesia as the primary regulator for Payment System Service Providers (PJP).
As part of a subsidiary ecosystem under Bank Mandiri Group, this role plays a critical part in upholding regulatory excellence while strengthening internal procedures and organizational integrity in a highly regulated payment environment.
Key Responsibilities
A. Internal Procedures & Governance
- Develop, review, and standardize internal policies, SOPs, and procedures across the organization
- Ensure alignment with regulators standards and internal governance within the parent company ecosystem
- Drive continuous improvement of internal processes to support scalable and compliant operations
- Lead internal audits and governance initiatives to ensure policy adherence
B. Compliance Management
- Monitor and interpret regulations issued by Bank Indonesia and other relevant authorities
- Ensure company-wide compliance as a licensed PJP (Payment System Service Provider)
- Lead regulatory compliance framework implementation and risk mitigation initiatives
- Act as the key liaison for compliance-related matters internally and externally
C. Government Relations (Bank Indonesia Focus)
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Bank Indonesia and related regulators
- Represent the company in regulatory discussions, forums, and industry engagements
- Manage regulatory reporting, licensing, and submission processes to BI
- Provide strategic insights on regulatory developments and their business impact
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in compliance, governance, legal, or regulatory roles
- Strong experience in Bank Indonesia regulations and PJP compliance framework
- Proven track record in handling government relations with BI or financial regulators
- Experience working in banking, fintech, or payment industry is highly preferred
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
