The Head of Finance act as a strategic finance business partner to the executive team, supporting the optimisation of manufacturing performance and the identification and realisation of commercial opportunities across the market. Provide high quality financial insight, analysis, and forward looking advice to enable informed, value driven business decisions.

The role requires strong leadership and close partnership with the Managing Director, contributing actively to the overall direction and performance of the business. The Head of Finance is expected to operate at both the strategic and operational levels, maintaining a hands on approach when required to ensure rigour, accuracy, and a deep understanding of the underlying performance drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsible for all aspects of financial, operational matters and accurate management reporting to Regional and Group
  • Lead the budget and forecast exercise, and develop strategic plans with management
  • Drive and setup financial information and analysis that is clear and accurate at all levels to support business review and decision making in the organization
  • Drive performance metrics in-line with strategy and to meet growth and profit targets
  • Drive manufacturing cost efficiencies and cost optimization opportunities in the business
  • Manage accurate pricing requests and communication to intercompany with clear justification of price change drivers
  • Partner commercial team to drive profitable growth and be actively providing inputs in pricing, customer, product and channel growth discussions
  • Actively manage improvements to working capital level and cash requirements, including hedging of foreign exchange needs, and Capex control
  • Establish a strong and effective internal control environment
  • Continuously implement process improvements in the business including systems enhancements
  • Ensure compliance of both internal and external regulations and policies including liaising with external parties and government departments
  • Manage tax and transfer pricing compliance
  • Evolve and strengthen the finance structure and team to meet the needs of the business
  • Support or participate in regional projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Master or Degree in Business/Finance and/or hold relevant professional qualifications as a CPA, CA or equivalent
  • Minimum 20 years of working experience, and in the last 5 years be part of senior management team of an established company
  • Strong knowledge in the application of IFRS
  • Experience in manufacturing / cost accounting is a must
  • Have experience implementing ERP systems
