About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Human Resources to lead the HR function for our Iraq operations. The role will be responsible for driving people strategy, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compensation & benefits, HR operations, and compliance with Iraqi labor laws. The successful candidate will partner closely with business leaders to build a high-performance culture and support organizational growth in a fast-paced IT distribution environment. Redington is a leading technology and IT distribution company operating across the Middle East, Africa, and other emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end HR operations for Iraq.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage recruitment, workforce planning, and talent development initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement, performance management, and succession planning.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, policies, and HR best practices.
- Oversee compensation, benefits, payroll, and HR administration.
- Partner with leadership to support organizational growth and change management.
- Build and mentor the local HR team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of Iraqi labor laws and HR practices.
- Experience in technology, distribution, FMCG, or multinational environments preferred.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organizational change.
- Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English.
