Corm Tech is partnering with a large national organisation to appoint a Head of Infrastructure to lead and modernise a complex enterprise technology environment supporting critical services across Australia.
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this role sits within the Technology leadership team and will play a key part in shaping the future infrastructure landscape of the organisation.

The Opportunity
This role will take ownership of a significant enterprise infrastructure environment supporting enterprise and operational systems across multiple locations.
The environment is entering an important phase of infrastructure renewal and modernisation, creating an opportunity for a strong infrastructure leader to stabilise the current environment while helping define the organisation’s future hybrid infrastructure and cloud strategy.
You will inherit a committed team and work closely with a capable senior technology leadership group focused on building a modern, resilient and scalable technology platform.
Key Priorities
The initial focus will include:
• Addressing infrastructure lifecycle challenges and reducing technical debt
• Strengthening disaster recovery and failover capability
• Improving governance around patching, vulnerability management and platform health
• Stabilising and modernising core compute, storage and virtualisation platforms
• Supporting the organisation’s transition toward hybrid and cloud-enabled infrastructure
The Role
As Head of Infrastructure, you will:
- Lead infrastructure strategy across compute, storage and virtualisation platforms
- Ensure operational reliability of critical infrastructure services
- Drive infrastructure uplift and platform transformation initiatives
- Strengthen disaster recovery, resilience and capacity planning capabilities
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary infrastructure engineering team
- Partner closely with architecture, cloud and cybersecurity leaders to shape the future infrastructure roadmap
This role requires a leader who is comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on, working alongside engineering teams while guiding long-term platform direction.
About You
You are an experienced infrastructure leader who has managed large enterprise infrastructure environments and understands the operational realities of supporting critical systems.
You will likely bring experience across:
- Enterprise infrastructure platforms and data centre environments
- VMware or similar virtualisation technologies
- Storage platforms and compute infrastructure
- Infrastructure transformation and modernisation programs
- Disaster recovery and high availability architecture
- Leading engineering teams in 24/7 operational environments
Experience working in regulated or high-availability environments such as healthcare, financial services, utilities or government will be highly regarded.
