Position Summary

Head of Infrastructure – will be responsible for leading the Data Center business practice, including solution design, pre-sales consulting, business development support, OEM engagement, technical leadership, and project governance for Data Center facilities and critical infrastructure solutions.

The role will focus on designing and positioning end-to-end Data Center facilities including power systems, cooling systems, structured cabling, racks, containment, fire suppression, physical security, monitoring systems, and associated infrastructure while supporting sales teams in driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Practice Leadership

  • Lead and develop the Data Center Infrastructure practice.
  • Build and manage a team of pre-sales consultants, engineers, and solution architects.
  • Define practice strategy, service offerings, and go-to-market plans.
  • Drive revenue, profitability, and growth targets for practice.
  • Establish OEM and technology partnerships.

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Design Tier II, Tier III, and Tier IV Data Center facilities.
  • Develop end-to-end Data Center infrastructure architectures.
  • Design power distribution systems including:
    • Utility integration
    • UPS systems
    • Generators
    • PDUs
    • Busway systems
    • Redundancy architecture
    • Design cooling solutions including:
    • Precision Cooling
    • In-Row Cooling
    • Chilled Water Systems
    • DX Systems
    • Containment Solutions
    • Design rack layouts, white space planning, and capacity planning.
    • Develop Data Center migration and expansion strategies.

    Pre-Sales & Business Development

    • Support account managers in customer engagements.
    • Conduct site surveys and technical assessments.
    • Lead customer workshops and discovery sessions.
    • Prepare technical proposals, RFP responses, and solution presentations.
    • Develop BOMs, cost estimates, and technical compliance documents.
    • Participate in customer presentations and bid defense meetings.

    Data Center Standards & Compliance

    • Ensure solutions comply with:
    • Uptime Institute Standards
    • TIA-942
    • ANSI/BICSI
    • ISO 27001
    • NFPA Standards
    • Local Electrical & Building Codes
    • Develop technical standards and best practices.

    OEM & Partner Management

    • Manage relationships with OEMs and technology partners.
    • Work closely with:
    • Schneider Electric
    • Vertiv
    • APC
    • Drive certifications and enablement programs.

    Project Governance & Technical Oversight

    • Review designs before project execution.
    • Support implementation teams during deployment.
    • Conduct design reviews and quality assurance audits.
    • Ensure successful project handover and customer acceptance.

    Requirements & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering is required.
    • Master's degree in engineering management or project management is preferred.
    • Certifications in infrastructure project execution (e.g., CDCP/CDCS, AutoCAD, Primavera, or vendor-based equipment training like Schneider, Vertiv, or APC) are recommended.
    • Health, Safety & Environment certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are a plus.

    Experience:

    • 6–8 years of infrastructure project experience, with at least 2 years in a Head Level or team lead capacity.
    • Proven background in handling data center, power, or facility construction projects
