Head of Policy Intelligence Jobs in Atlanta, GA at Politheon

Title: Head of Policy Intelligence

Company: Politheon

Location: Atlanta, GA

Company Description

Politheon leverages agentic AI systems to monitor, analyze, and synthesize legislative and regulatory activity across all 50 states and federal sources in real time. Our platform delivers tailored intelligence aligned with a company's industry, products, and jurisdictional footprint — surfacing early-warning signals around emerging regulatory risks. By integrating structured legislative data, rulemaking activity, and political context, Politheon provides citation-backed, audit-ready insights for strategic decision-making. Founded at Georgia Tech and supported by CREATE-X and Microsoft for Startups, Politheon is transforming how organizations manage public policy risk and navigate complex regulatory landscapes.

Role Description

This is a hybrid role with flexibility for remote work.

The Head of Policy Intelligence will own the intelligence layer between our AI platform and the organizations that rely on it. This person brings a nuanced understanding of U.S. legislative and regulatory processes — how bills move, how policy propagates across jurisdictions, how a single provision can reshape an industry — and operates at the intersection of that expertise and modern AI.

This is a hybrid role in every sense. On one side, you're engaging directly with policy stakeholders, government affairs teams, and enterprise customers, speaking their language and translating complex legislative dynamics into intelligence they act on. On the other, you're collaborating with our engineering and machine learning teams, shaping how our agentic AI systems identify, extract, and prioritize what matters across millions of documents.

You'll design and refine the intelligence products we deliver, ensure analytical rigor in everything that reaches a customer, and serve as a trusted voice on policy substance both internally and externally. As the company grows, this role is positioned to build and lead the policy intelligence function.

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of U.S. legislative and regulatory processes across state and federal jurisdictions
  • Experience in government relations, public policy, legislative affairs, regulatory analysis, or a policy-focused consultancy
  • Ability to synthesize complex legislative and regulatory information into clear, actionable intelligence for non-policy audiences
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills — credible in conversations with government affairs professionals, lobbyists, and enterprise compliance teams
  • Comfort working alongside AI and machine learning teams — you don't need to write code, but you understand how modern AI applications work and can articulate what the systems should be looking for
  • Excellent written communication — you can produce polished, client-ready analysis under time pressure
  • Master's degree in Public Policy, Law, Political Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Familiarity with legislative data, policy tracking tools, or AI-driven intelligence platforms is a strong plus
