About the Role
ICC is seeking an experienced Head of Power to lead and manage all aspects of our power division — spanning renewable energy, conventional power, and power infrastructure projects. With a strong focus on solar energy and hybrid systems, the role also covers transmission lines, substations, distribution networks, and grid integration.
This is a senior leadership position that demands strategic vision, deep technical excellence, and a proven track record of delivering large-scale power projects with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and operational efficiency.
What You'll Do
– Develop and implement the strategic plan for the Power Department, aligned with company vision and growth objectives.
– Oversee the design, engineering, and execution of solar, hybrid, substation, transmission, and distribution projects from concept to commissioning.
– Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality, safety, and compliance standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA).
– Provide technical leadership in solar PV system design, energy storage, and hybrid systems, and evaluate emerging renewable technologies.
– Perform technical reviews, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses for solar projects.
– Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers, project managers, and technicians.
– Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
– Negotiate contracts and ensure profitable project execution.
– Manage relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
– Support marketing and tendering teams with technical input for proposals and bids.
What You'll Bring
– Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
– Minimum 15 years in the power sector, including at least 10 years in solar energy projects and 5 years in a leadership role.
– Strong knowledge of solar PV technologies, inverters, energy storage, grid integration, and hybrid systems.
– Proficiency in electrical design software (AutoCAD, PVsyst, ETAP, or similar).
– Solid understanding of financial models, cost estimation, and project economics.
– Familiarity with international codes and standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, NFPA).
– Excellent leadership, decision-making, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
– Willingness and ability to travel frequently to project sites and international exhibitions.
