Jazeera Airways is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Head of Sales to lead and execute the airline's sales strategy across Kuwait and key international markets. The role is responsible for driving passenger revenue growth, expanding market share, strengthening trade and corporate partnerships, and maximizing sales performance across all distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and implement the airline's sales strategy aligned with corporate and commercial objectives.
- Deliver revenue, market share, yield, and passenger volume targets across all markets.
- Identify new business opportunities, customer segments, and revenue streams.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior to optimize sales initiatives.
- Support route launches and network expansion through targeted sales and market development plans.
Corporate & Trade Sales Management
- Develop and manage relationships with corporate accounts, travel management companies (TMCs), travel agencies, online travel agencies (OTAs), tour operators, and government entities.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, incentive programs, and preferred partnerships.
- Drive growth in high-yield corporate and SME segments.
- Ensure strong trade engagement through sales visits, workshops, roadshows, and industry events.
- Manage agency performance, contractual compliance, and sales support initiatives.
Distribution & Channel Management
- Optimize performance across all sales channels including GDS, NDC, direct online sales, mobile platforms, call centers, and agency networks.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management and Digital teams to enhance distribution effectiveness and reduce cost of sale.
- Ensure consistent pricing, content, and product visibility across all channels.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales organization.
- Establish clear sales targets, KPIs, and performance management frameworks.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and commercial excellence.
- Identify training and development opportunities to strengthen team capabilities.
Commercial Performance & Analytics
- Develop annual sales budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
- Monitor sales performance and market intelligence to identify opportunities and risks.
- Prepare regular management reports, sales dashboards, and performance reviews.
- Ensure accurate forecasting and achievement of revenue objectives.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Revenue Management, Network Planning, Marketing, Customer Experience, Finance, and Operations teams.
- Represent Jazeera Airways at industry forums, trade exhibitions, and key customer meetings.
- Build strategic partnerships that strengthen the airline's market position and commercial performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Aviation Management, Economics, or a related field. Postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of airline commercial and sales experience. At least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role within the aviation industry.
- Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and market share expansion.
- Strong knowledge of airline distribution systems including GDS, NDC, corporate sales, and trade channels.
- Experience within the GCC aviation market is highly desirable.
