Health Policy & Management — AI Data Trainer

About The Role

Your public health expertise is more valuable than ever — and not just in a clinic or government office. We're looking for Masters in Public Health (MPH) professionals to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models on population health, health policy, epidemiology, and biostatistics.

At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs to ensure their models produce accurate, evidence-based, and ethically sound health information. When AI gets health wrong, real people are affected. Your expertise helps make sure it gets it right.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design Complex Public Health Scenarios — Create advanced problem sets involving disease outbreak simulations, health equity assessments, and statistical interpretation of clinical trial data
  • Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write rigorous, step-by-step responses that synthesize peer-reviewed research, epidemiological data, and current public health guidelines (CDC, WHO, and beyond)
  • Audit AI Health Reasoning — Evaluate AI-generated health advice and policy recommendations for accuracy, bias, logical consistency, and adherence to ethical standards
  • Identify Misinformation — Spot gaps in AI reasoning, flag misleading health claims, and help models distinguish correlation from causation in complex health data
  • Refine AI Communication — Provide structured feedback to improve how AI models communicate health risks to diverse populations in clear, culturally sensitive language

Who You Are

  • Holds a Masters in Public Health (MPH), Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH), or a closely related graduate degree
  • Strong foundational knowledge in at least two core pillars: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Environmental Health, or Health Policy
  • Skilled at translating complex health data into clear, actionable, and culturally sensitive written information
  • High attention to detail — comfortable checking statistical significance, data citations, and intervention logic
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently and asynchronously
  • No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data annotation, quality assurance, or evaluation frameworks
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as R, SAS, or Stata
  • Background in health communication, clinical research coordination, or public health surveillance

Why Join Us

  • Make a real impact — your work directly shapes how millions of people receive AI-generated health information
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule, from anywhere
  • Engage with frontier AI — get direct exposure to industry-leading large language models
  • Freelance autonomy — high agency, variety, and the opportunity to work across impactful projects
  • Ongoing opportunities — strong performers are considered for contract renewals and expanded project access
