Duties
Western Arctic Field Unit is seeking a positive and energetic individual to join our management team. In this pivotal role, you will be the cornerstone of our employee and management support system, providing comprehensive HR services that are as diverse as the places we protect and present.
Work environment
Parks Canada is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canada’s outstanding natural and cultural resources through a systems of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of Canada.

This position is based in Inuvik;
Canada’s largest community north of the Arctic Circle. A hub for the Western Arctic region, Inuvik offers unrivalled opportunities to experience Canada’s unique northern cultures and some of the world’s greatest natural landscapes. The warmth of the people makes it easy to feel at home in this modern, active town of approximately 3,000 people, accessible by both road and jet service.

A good work-life balance means time to participate in festivals, sports and clubs, or just explore countless lakes and rivers, boreal forest and tundra, the Beaufort Sea and Richardson Mountains. Inuvik has many of the services, facilities and activities found in larger communities in the south.
Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to hire one (1) full-time position from August 2026 to August 2027.This process may be used to create a list of qualified candidates to staff similar positions with various tenures, security levels or linguistic requirements in same or other parts of the country.

The above rates include taxes and are subject to change.
