Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced HR professional to manage end-to-end HR operations at the plant level. The role requires strong expertise in payroll, statutory compliance, industrial relations (IR), and union management. The candidate should have hands-on experience in managing workforce discipline, liaising with local authorities, and ensuring smooth HR functioning in a manufacturing setup.

Key Responsibilities :

1. HR Operations & Payroll

  • Manage end-to-end HR operations for plant employees
  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain employee records, attendance, and time management systems
  • Ensure timely disbursement of salaries and statutory payments

2. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws and regulations
  • Handle audits and inspections from government authorities
  • Maintain records related to PF, ESIC, Factory Act, Shops & Establishment, etc.

3. Industrial Relations (IR) & Union Management

  • Manage relationships with unions and workmen
  • Handle wage negotiations, settlements, and dispute resolution
  • Address grievances and maintain harmonious industrial relations
  • Drive initiatives to promote a positive plant culture

4. Time Office & Workforce Management

  • Supervise time office activities including attendance, shifts, and overtime
  • Ensure discipline and adherence to plant policies
  • Monitor absenteeism and workforce productivity

5. Liaisoning & External Coordination

  • Liaise with local government authorities, labour officers, and regulatory bodies
  • Represent the organization in statutory matters and hearings, if required

6. Disciplinary Actions & Employee Engagement

  • Handle disciplinary procedures, domestic enquiries, and misconduct cases
  • Implement HR policies and ensure adherence across the plant
  • Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives

7. Contract Labour Management

  • Manage contract workforce and vendor compliance
  • Ensure adherence to contract labour laws and documentation
  • Monitor contractor performance and compliance standards

Key Requirements :

  • 8-12 years of experience in HR Operations in a manufacturing/plant setup
  • Strong exposure to Payroll, Compliance, IR & Union Handling
  • Hands-on experience in contract labour management
  • Good knowledge of labour laws and statutory requirements
  • Experience in liaising with local authorities
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Graduate or MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent
  • Experience in manufacturing or heavy industry environment
