Position: Human Rights Advisor for Renewable Energy
Embark on a transformative volunteer journey in Tegucigalpa, Honduras as a Human Rights Policy Advisor. Support human rights initiatives for renewable energy companies with a focus on community engagement and policy integration.

This unique 5-month volunteer role with AHER is designed for dedicated individuals looking to make a meaningful impact in the energy sector. You will facilitate comprehensive training and workshops while promoting the free, prior, and informed consultation process. This position also requires Spanish Level 3, with the potential for private lessons to enhance your skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders, government, and communities

• Prepare detailed consultation reports for the free, prior, and informed process

• Create proposals for integrating frameworks into environmental assessments

• Publish best practices and policy guidance to support advocacy efforts

• Empower companies to uphold human rights practices

Requirements:

• University degree in International Development or related fields

• Minimum of 2 years in social/community project execution

• Understanding of climate change and renewable energy

• Strong teamwork and critical analysis skills

• Spanish Level 3 or above
