Enhance Indigenous relations with PDAC as an Analyst in Indigenous Affairs. This hybrid role focuses on policy development and stakeholder engagement within the mineral exploration sector.

Reporting to the Director of Policy and Programs, the Analyst will lead PDAC’s Indigenous Affairs Program, fostering collaboration between industry and Indigenous Peoples. This position involves extensive research and analysis on policies affecting Indigenous engagement while ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks. Building partnerships with various stakeholders is essential to promote mutually beneficial relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Indigenous Affairs Committee meetings and project planning

• Conduct research on Indigenous engagement policies and regulations

• Develop evidence-based policy positions and advocacy materials

• Provide resources and workshops for PDAC members

• Manage Indigenous Program at PDAC Convention

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience

• 2-3 years experience in Indigenous relations or policy analysis

• Knowledge of UNDRIP and Duty to Consult

• Strong research and communication skills

• Proven relationship-building abilities
