Job Description

An Industrial Relations Officer in Olam Agri is responsible for fostering a positive and harmonious relationship between factory management and employees. The role focuses on managing labour relations, resolving employee grievances, ensuring compliance with labour laws, and promoting a productive work environment.

The incumbent acts as a key mediator between management and employees, ensuring smooth day-to-day employee administration, strengthening engagement, and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities and regulatory bodies

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement labour relations strategies to foster a collaborative work environment
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws and provide guidance on regulatory matters
  • Address and resolve employee grievances and workplace disputes effectively
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives, training, and feedback mechanisms
  • Monitor labour relations KPIs and provide insights to management
  • Manage employee administration, including attendance, leave, onboarding, and recruitment support
  • Coordinate workforce planning, including permanent and temporary manpower
  • Maintain relationships with local administrative bodies and law enforcement agencies
  • Facilitate communication between management, employees, and external stakeholders

Job Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in industrial relations or a similar role
  • Strong experience in labour law compliance and employee grievance handling
  • Exposure to manufacturing or factory environments preferred

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field
