We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Information Security Analyst to safeguard the organization's information systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, identifying vulnerabilities, responding to security incidents, and ensuring compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security events and alerts using SIEM and other security monitoring tools.
  • Identify, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and security breaches.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Perform regular security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and access management.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to secure networks, servers, cloud environments, and applications.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce information security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Monitor system logs and perform threat analysis to detect suspicious activities.
  • Support identity and access management (IAM), including user provisioning and access reviews.
  • Assist in disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives.
  • Stay informed about emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices.
  • Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees.
  • Prepare security reports, incident documentation, and compliance-related records.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, or a related IT security role.
  • Knowledge of network security, operating systems, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Experience with security monitoring tools, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA, or SOC 2.
  • Understanding of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint security, and identity management.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC, or SSCP.
  • Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM solutions such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or IBM QRadar.
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7.
  • Familiarity with endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools and zero-trust security concepts.
  • Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or government is a plus.
