Job Duties And Key Responsibility Areas
- Build and maintain senior relationships across infrastructure and transaction advisory firms, development institutions, donor-funded programs, and government agencies.
- Engage early in project development cycles to understand emerging infrastructure priorities and monitor upcoming project preparation and procurement activity.
- Position Alliad as a credible delivery and investment partner with key public and private sector stakeholders.
- Collaborate internally with country leadership, investment, technical, and commercial teams to assess the commercial viability, delivery approach, and financing requirements of early-stage opportunities.
- Support the conversion of early engagement into tangible outcomes, including market soundings, structured dialogues, consortium opportunities, and competitive procurement participation.
- Contribute to the development and scaling of internal origination processes, tools, and best practices.
- Ensures adherence to quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements in Food Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environment.
Education & Professional Certifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, International Development, or a related field.
Work Experience
- 5-10+ years’ experience in infrastructure origination, advisory, project preparation, or public-private development environments.
- Essential exposure to African markets, ideally across West Africa and/or Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Essential experience working with or within infrastructure/transaction advisory firms, development institutions, or government infrastructure units.
- Desirable background with institutions like IFC, World Bank, or AfDB.
- Desirable involvement in projects spanning early concept through to procurement.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Strong stakeholder management skills and senior-level credibility.
- Sound commercial and structural judgment for infrastructure projects.
- Ability to operate effectively in long-cycle, multi-stakeholder environments.
- High integrity, discretion, and political awareness.
- Self-starter with a driven, motivated, and passionate attitude toward success.
- Sector experience in power, water, transport, social infrastructure, or digital infrastructure is desirable.
