Intelligence Analyst Jobs in Jakarta, Indonesia at Aetosky
Title: Intelligence Analyst
Company: Aetosky
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia
Role Overview
The Intelligence Analyst serves as the human-in-the-loop for Aetosky's automated intelligence platform, acting as the final authority on whether system outputs represent genuine signals or noise. This role bridges intelligence tradecraft and technology – reviewing automated outputs, validating flagged threats, correcting system errors, and continuously improving platform accuracy through expert feedback. The analyst's domain expertise directly determines the quality of intelligence delivered to end users.
Responsibilities
• Review and validate outputs from automated data processing systems, distinguishing genuine intelligence signals from false positives.
• Verify system-generated flags for coordinated inauthentic behavior, including suspected bot networks, influence operations, and manipulation campaigns.
• Identify and correct errors in automated entity recognition (people, organizations, locations), feeding corrections back into the system to improve future accuracy.
• Triage and prioritize incoming data during high-volume periods, ensuring the most critical items receive deep analysis first.
• Approve or reject proposed changes to automated filter sensitivity based on operational context.
Knowledge Management Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain operational runbooks documenting triage criteria, verification standards, known patterns, and decision frameworks.
• Build and curate a growing knowledge base of entity aliases, cross-language references, and regional terminology.
• Ensure documentation supports rapid onboarding of additional analysts as the team scales.
Collaboration Responsibilities
• Provide daily qualitative feedback to the engineering team on output quality during the platform's initial calibration period.
• Advise on regional context, local information dynamics, and what constitutes a meaningful signal in target operating environments.
• Support client demonstrations as subject matter expert, validating live outputs and explaining analytical methodology to non-technical stakeholders.

Required
• 3+ years in intelligence analysis, threat assessment, geopolitical risk, or investigative research.
• Direct experience with open-source intelligence (OSINT) collection in Southeast Asian or Middle Eastern contexts.
• Working proficiency in at least one regional language (Bahasa Indonesia, Malay, Thai, or Arabic) in addition to English.
• Familiarity with social media analysis, influence operation detection, or disinformation research.
• Strong written communication skills and ability to maintain structured analytical documentation.

• Previous work in government, military intelligence, or defense consulting environments.
• Understanding of data classification levels and information handling requirements.
