Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Internal Controls Tester to execute SOX/ICFR testing on inventory controls. You will walk through processes with business teams, assess design and operating effectiveness, manage information requests, and collaborate with stakeholders and external auditors. This role requires completing 2-3 controls weekly, with deliverables due every Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct testing of inventory controls, including walkthroughs with business teams to evaluate design effectiveness and operating effectiveness.
- Send and track requests for information from relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in internal status meetings, client meetings, and business discussions.
- Communicate effectively with external audit partners to support compliance efforts.
- Manage and prioritize workload to meet weekly deliverables (2-3 controls per week).
Must-Have Qualifications
- Proven auditing experience in internal or external audit environments.
- Hands-on experience with testing governance controls.
- Strong expertise in ICFR/SOX testing.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to speak confidently and manage stakeholders.
- Highly organized, with strong skills in managing and prioritizing workloads.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with inventory management processes and financial controls.
- Proficiency in audit documentation tools (e.g., Excel, GRC software).
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
