Project Support Officer | 10653 | permanent contract | 37 hours per week | £26,824 to £28,142 per annum | Grade E | County Hall, Norwich/hybrid working

The Adults and Children’s Services Learning and Development Team plays a vital role in designing, commissioning and delivering learning that supports and strengthens our workforce. Effective, timely project support is at the heart of what we do — and that’s where you come in.

We’re looking for an organised, focused and resourceful Project Support Officer to provide high‑level administrative support across a wide range of learning and development activities.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll take the lead on setting up and coordinating learning events. This includes building and maintaining training courses on myOracle Learn and our new learning management system for learners outside NCC.

You’ll work closely with Learning and Development Consultants on a variety of projects across areas such as:

  • Safeguarding
  • Mental Health
  • Foster Carer training
  • Autism
  • Reablement services
  • Finance and benefits

Every day will bring something different — and your contribution will directly support the development of practitioners and staff working with adults, children and families.

What we’re looking for

You Should Be Able To Demonstrate

  • Excellent ICT skills — including strong keyboard skills and confidence with Excel, Word and databases
  • Experience using MS Teams
  • Experience processing purchase orders and maintaining budget spreadsheets
  • Ability to use reporting tools to produce clear, accurate data
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, including a professional telephone manner
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Experience coordinating small events
  • Teamworking skills and a collaborative approach
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Professional conduct, including handling sensitive information appropriately
  • Friendly, approachable manner, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners
  • Awareness of data protection and information management

Experience maintaining an online learning management system and using reporting tools would be an advantage.
