Job Summary
The Legal Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Legal Department. This role assists in the preparation, organization, and maintenance of legal documents, monitors legal compliance requirements, coordinates with internal departments and external parties, and ensures the efficient handling of legal and corporate matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, draft, review, and organize legal documents, contracts, agreements, memoranda, and correspondence.
- Maintain and update legal files, records, and document databases.
- Monitor contract expiration dates, permit renewals, and other compliance-related deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of legal documents to government agencies, courts, and regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate with internal departments regarding legal concerns, documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Conduct basic legal research and gather relevant information for legal cases and transactions.
- Schedule meetings, hearings, and appointments for legal counsel and department personnel.
- Track and monitor the status of legal cases, claims, and corporate filings.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations related to legal matters.
- Ensure the confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive legal information.
- Assist in processing permits, licenses, and registrations as required.
- Perform other legal and administrative duties as assigned by the Legal Manager or Legal Counsel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Management, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 1 years of experience in a legal assistant, paralegal, compliance, or related administrative role.
- Knowledge of legal documentation, contracts, and corporate compliance processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Amenable to work in Malinta, Valenzuela City.
