Responsible for monitoring swimming areas, ensuring the safety and well-being of guests and staff, and responding promptly and effectively to water-related incidents. Daily tasks include supervising pool and surrounding areas, enforcing facility rules, conducting regular safety checks of equipment, and maintaining a clean and orderly pool environment. The role also involves performing water rescues and delivering first aid or CPR when needed, completing incident reports, and participating in safety drills and emergency preparedness. The Lifeguard will collaborate closely with facility management and other team members to uphold high standards of safety, hygiene, and customer service.
Qualifications
- Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized authority, including current CPR and first aid certifications.
- Demonstrated ability to perform water rescues, administer basic life support, and respond calmly in emergencies.
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail to monitor pool users and identify potential risks quickly.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to interact respectfully with guests and team members.
- Ability to enforce safety rules consistently and professionally while maintaining a positive guest experience.
- Physical fitness and stamina appropriate for prolonged standing, swimming, and emergency response tasks.
- Familiarity with basic pool operations, hygiene standards, and safety procedures is an advantage.
- Previous experience as a lifeguard or in a similar safety-focused role, ideally in hospitality or recreation settings, is preferred.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by operational needs.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are an asset in a multicultural environment.
