About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Section Head to lead maintenance operations within a food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, team leadership, preventive maintenance systems, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement within FMCG, food processing, bakery, dairy, or related manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the maintenance department, including engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
- Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability.
- Monitor and improve maintenance KPIs including MTBF, MTTR, downtime, and maintenance costs.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring equipment failures.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize production interruptions.
- Manage spare parts inventory, supplier relationships, and maintenance procurement activities.
- Support installation, commissioning, and startup of new production lines and plant equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, GMP, HACCP, and company maintenance standards.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Prepare maintenance reports, budgets, and departmental performance reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in maintenance management within food manufacturing, FMCG, dairy, bakery, or industrial production facilities.
- Proven experience leading maintenance teams and supervising engineers and technicians.
- Strong knowledge of production equipment, conveyors, packaging machinery, utilities, and automated manufacturing systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance planning, troubleshooting, RCA, and reliability improvement programs.
- Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP PM, CMMS, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, or Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM).
- Experience in production-line installation and commissioning projects.
- Knowledge of KPI-driven maintenance management systems.
