About the Role
The Manager, Academic Partnership Development & Management (APDM) plays a key role in managing a portfolio of university and industry partners, contributing to the growth and financial sustainability of SIM through effective partnership management and programme development.
This role focuses on academic partnership administration, supporting the development of new academic programmes, and ensuring programme relevance to evolving workforce needs. The incumbent will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to drive student enrolment, maintain curriculum competitiveness, and differentiate SIM within the private education sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Partnership Management
- Maintain effective communication with academic and industry partners
- Collaborate with Programme Operations and Centre for Micro-Credentials to ensure programme success
- Monitor external developments and recommend programme improvements to meet changing needs
2. Academic Programme Development
- Prepare documentation for new programme approvals in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct annual programme reviews and recommend enhancements aligned with market demand
- Ensure compliance with internal and external quality assurance standards
3. Business Development
- Liaise with universities, industry partners, government agencies, and corporations
- Support collaborations that strengthen programme offerings and market positioning
4. Financial Viability
- Work with stakeholders to develop budgets for new programmes
- Monitor programme performance to ensure financial sustainability and recruitment targets are met
5. Overseas Training Centre (OTC) Oversight
- Review OTC applications and performance
- Provide recommendations to the OTC Management Committee
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Degree with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Familiarity with the higher education sector and training & development landscape
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken Chinese is essential due to frequent engagement with China-based partners

Location & Work Authorization Requirement
This role is based in Guangzhou or Suzhou, China.
Applicants must currently be based in China or have the legal right to work in China without employer sponsorship.
