About the Role:
The Manager, SGBV, Data and Reporting will support the Social Empowerment and Legal Protection (SELP) & Gender Justice and Diversity (GJD) Programme in designing and implementing Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) reporting, response, and prevention initiatives, ensuring survivor-centered services and cross-programme coordination. The role will also promote the use of Ar Na and Shongjog platforms and contribute to testing and applying evidence-based approaches to strengthen SGBV prevention and response.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop systems, tools, and guidelines to strengthen SGBV prevention and survivor-centered response mechanisms.
- Implement and promote the Ar Na platform for effective SGBV reporting and case tracking across BRAC programmes.
- Conduct awareness activities to increase staff engagement and effective use of Ar Na and Shongjog platforms.
- Monitor and analyse platform data, staff performance, and response timelines to ensure timely SGBV interventions.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with health, law enforcement, and other service providers to support survivors.
- Facilitate survivor access to coordinated services, including livelihood and economic support through BRAC and partners.
- Design and pilot innovative initiatives engaging men and boys to prevent SGBV and child marriage, and promote positive social norms.
- Build capacity of field staff through training, mentoring, and guidance on SGBV case management, reporting, and prevention.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
Additional Job Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of SGBV prevention, response systems, and survivor-centered programming approaches.
- Experience in building and managing multi-sectoral partnerships with government, NGOs, and community-based organisations.
- Skilled in using and promoting digital platforms for reporting and service mapping (e.g., Ar Na, Shongjog) and driving staff engagement.
- Excellent communication skills in Bangla and English, with experience in awareness campaigns and community mobilisation.
- Understanding of gender equality, social empowerment, gender justice, and social protection in the Bangladesh context.
- Ability to design and deliver capacity-building initiatives, including training and mentoring on SGBV reporting and prevention.
Educational Requirements:
Master's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Gender Studies or any related discipline.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in gender equality or evidence-based programmatic roles within the development sector or related fields.
