Position Summary
BlackOhm is seeking a creative, mission-focused, and highly driven Marketing Manager to lead the company’s digital marketing, branding, and strategic communications efforts across the defense and government sector. This role will be responsible for building and executing BlackOhm’s marketing strategy to strengthen brand awareness, generate qualified leads, support business development efforts, and position BlackOhm as a leader in military training modernization and operational technology.
The ideal candidate understands how to market within the defense industry and can effectively communicate complex technical and operational capabilities into compelling messaging for military, government, and industry audiences. This individual will manage digital campaigns, branding initiatives, content creation, social media presence, trade show support, customer communications, and strategic marketing operations.
This role will work closely with BlackOhm leadership, sales, engineering, field operations, and program management teams to support growth initiatives across the Department of Defense and allied partners.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead BlackOhm’s digital marketing and defense branding strategy.
• Develop and manage marketing campaigns supporting sales, business development, recruiting, and customer engagement efforts.
• Manage and grow BlackOhm’s online presence across LinkedIn, website platforms, email campaigns, and digital media channels.
• Create and oversee development of defense-focused marketing content including white papers, capability briefs, slick sheets, videos, case studies, graphics, and operational updates.
• Support branding and messaging efforts aligned to military modernization, operational technology, and training instrumentation markets.
• Coordinate media and content support for military exercises, demonstrations, operational tests, and industry events.
• Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials, presentations, trade show assets, and customer-facing communications.
• Work with sales and account executives to develop targeted account-based marketing campaigns.
• Assist with proposal graphics, strategic messaging, and customer engagement materials supporting capture efforts.
• Support conference planning, event coordination, and trade show execution.
• Track and analyze digital marketing performance metrics, engagement analytics, lead generation, and campaign effectiveness.
• Manage CRM-integrated marketing workflows and lead nurturing campaigns.
• Monitor defense industry trends, competitor activity, and military modernization initiatives to support strategic positioning.
• Coordinate photography, videography, and operational media collection efforts during field activities and customer events.

Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, branding, communications, or marketing operations.
• Experience supporting defense, government contracting, military, aerospace, or technology industries preferred.

• Experience creating professional marketing materials and customer-facing content.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts into compelling and understandable messaging.
• Experience with CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-starter capable of operating in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.
• Ability to travel occasionally in support of trade shows, military exercises, and customer engagements.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience marketing within the defense or military sector.
• Familiarity with military terminology, operational environments, and defense acquisition ecosystem.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing, or graphic design tools.
• Experience supporting trade shows such as AUSA, Modern Day Marine, SOF Week, I/ITSEC, or defense technology conferences.
• Knowledge of LinkedIn growth strategy and B2B lead generation.
• Photography, videography, or media production experience preferred.
• Experience supporting proposal graphics and business development campaigns.
• Active security clearance preferred but not required.
