# **JOB ANNOUNCEMENT**
The Utah County Health Department seeks to prevent avoidable disease and injury and promote health by monitoring the health of the community and assuring conditions in which people can be healthy.
Posting Date: May 1, 2026 Closing Date: *Open Until Filled

This is a Full Time Grant Funded position with Benefits.
**Preference may be given to candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish.**
The Opportunity
Under the general direction of the Emergency Planning Supervisor and in collaboration with the Health Officer, Division Directors, Bureau Director, and key community members, performs professional level community medical surge capacity planning and response coordination work for the Utah County Health Department according to conditions of the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response Grant.
- Grade:** 725
- Starting Pay:** $68,515.20 – $78,790.40 Annually
- Schedule:** Monday — Friday- 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – may be required to work occasional nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to public health such as nursing, biological sciences, community health, health education, emergency management planning, hazard assessment, public administration, or environmental science.
- Two (2) years of work experience related to emergency management or public health.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.
Preferred Candidates Will Possess Some Of The Below Attributes
- Previous medical experience is preferred but not required.
- ICS 100: Introduction to Incident Command System (ICS)
- ICS 200: Basic ICS for Initial Response
- ICS 700: Introduction to the National Incident Management System
- ICS 800: Introduction to the National Response Framework
