Role Description The Mercedes-Benz Certified Diagnostic Technician (CDT) role is a full-time, on-site position based in Baghdad. The CDT is responsible for performing advanced diagnostics on Mercedes-Benz vehicles, identifying root causes of technical issues, and implementing manufacturer-approved repair solutions. Day-to-day tasks include using specialized diagnostic equipment, completing vehicle maintenance and repair work, updating service records, and following brand and safety standards. The role also involves collaborating with service advisors and colleagues, explaining technical findings in clear terms, and supporting a high-quality customer service experience. The CDT may participate in ongoing training, technical updates, and quality assurance activities to maintain certification and ensure optimal service performance.
Qualifications
- Strong diagnostic skills related to automotive systems, with the ability to accurately diagnose complex vehicle issues.
- Hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance, repair procedures, and use of automotive tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to explain technical information clearly and support a positive service experience.
- Relevant automotive certifications or technical diploma; Mercedes-Benz brand certifications or CDT training are highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in modern vehicles.
- Ability to follow technical documentation, service manuals, and safety guidelines precisely.
- Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic systems and service software.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented workshop environment.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development in line with Mercedes-Benz standards.
