2. About the Opportunity:
The Microsoft Business Analyst will lead the functional design and requirements management for projects, playing a key role in translating user needs into actionable development tasks. This position ensures alignment between business requirements and technical implementation by facilitating collaboration among stakeholders, developers, and testers. The role is critical in maintaining accurate documentation, refining project backlogs, and validating that solutions meet user acceptance criteria, directly contributing to the success and delivery of government technology initiatives.
3. Responsibilities:
• Lead functional design and manage requirements for assigned projects
• Facilitate interviews, backlog refinement, and sprint planning sessions
• Document business processes and map workflow logic
• Update backlog items in coordination with the development team
• Collaborate with developers and testers to validate configurations and acceptance criteria
• Ensure backlog items, workflows, and documentation are accurate and complete
• Apply comprehensive knowledge across multiple complex work assignments
4. Requirements:
• Experience managing and refining product backlogs, prioritizing tasks, and aligning with development teams
• Proficiency with Jira and Agile methodologies
• Skilled in conducting interviews to identify user needs and translating them into functional requirements or user stories
• Experience analyzing workflows and business processes to identify improvements
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The pay range for this position in specified states and cities is $90,400 to $147,200 USD
• Compensation varies based on location, role, skills, and experience
