About the project

We are hiring for a fast-paced federal AI modernization project focused on building secure, scalable AI capabilities for a government platform. The work includes natural language query enablement, conversational AI, AWS cloud architecture, secure integration, DevSecOps, user training, documentation, and compliance-oriented deployment in a regulated environment.

This project requires professionals who have worked on government or public sector technology programs and understand how to operate in environments with strong security, compliance, audit, and end-user support requirements.

What the team will work on

• Build AI-powered natural language query capabilities

• Build a conversational assistant / navigator

• Design and implement secure AWS architecture

• Integrate AI services with existing enterprise/government systems

• Implement role-based access, logging, auditability, and monitoring

• Support evaluation, testing, security validation, deployment, training, and hypercare

• Create user guides, job aids, webinar materials, and support documentation

• Ensure alignment with NIST, FedRAMP, cybersecurity, privacy, and responsible AI practices

Core requirements

• US Citizen or Green Card holder is mandatory

• Must be willing to go through Public Trust clearance

• Prior experience working on government, federal, state, public sector, or highly regulated enterprise projects

• Strong understanding of security-first delivery in regulated environments

• Experience working in fast-moving project teams with multiple technical workstreams

Required background by skill area

AI/ML Engineering (2 openings)

• Experience building and deploying LLM, NLP, or Generative AI solutions

• Strong hands-on experience with prompt engineering, retrieval workflows, model evaluation, tuning, and guardrails

• Experience with NL-to-SQL, RAG, conversational assistants, search/summarization, or knowledge assistants

• Experience reducing hallucinations and improving accuracy in enterprise AI systems

• Familiarity with AWS Bedrock or similar managed AI platforms is strongly preferred

AWS Cloud Architect (1 opening)

• Experience designing and implementing secure AWS architectures

• Strong knowledge of IAM, VPC, secrets management, monitoring, logging, CI/CD, and deployment design

• Experience building cloud solutions in environments with compliance, audit, and security controls

• Familiarity with FedRAMP-aligned or government cloud design principles preferred

Integration Engineer (1 opening)

• Experience integrating modern applications/services with enterprise or legacy systems

• Strong experience with APIs, backend integration, authentication, authorization, and data exchange

• Ability to connect AI services into real user workflows and existing systems

• Experience working with structured datasets, enterprise platforms, and secure access controls

DevSecOps / Security Lead (1 opening)

• Strong experience with DevSecOps, cloud security, CI/CD security, secrets, vulnerability management, logging, and auditability

• Experience implementing security controls aligned to NIST, FedRAMP, and public sector best practices

• Ability to support public sector security reviews, compliance documentation, and deployment hardening

• Experience with access controls, monitoring, incident readiness, and secure release processes

Training / Documentation / Support Specialist (1 opening)

• Experience creating user guides, SOPs, quick reference guides, FAQs, training decks, and webinar materials

• Experience supporting software rollouts, user onboarding, training sessions, and hypercare

• Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear end-user documentation

• Experience supporting government, public sector, or highly regulated implementations preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience gathering user feedback, tracking issues, and supporting adoption metrics is a plus

Preferred qualifications

• Experience supporting Public Trust, federal onboarding, or similar background screening processes

• Experience with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, FISMA, Zero Trust, or related frameworks

• Experience with Responsible AI, privacy controls, explainability, and model governance

• Experience working on AI projects for government, education, healthcare, benefits, workforce, or citizen-facing platforms

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work directly with stakeholders
