Responsibilities
- Advise city councils, boards, and commissions during public meetings and closed sessions.
- Draft and review ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and policies.
- Provide counsel on the Brown Act, Public Records Act, conflicts of interest, and other public law matters.
- Assist with land use, zoning, and CEQA compliance.
- Handle matters involving public procurement, real property, and economic development.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong interest and/or experience working with public agencies.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
