National Registry Officer – Auckland

Multiple Positions

Permanent, full-time

  • Help support everyday New Zealanders in our Justice system
  • Customer Service – interacting with customers on any court related matter.
  • Case Management – taking responsibility for ensuring that the Judiciary and case parties have all the information they need to ensure cases are heard in a timely and effortless manner.

This position will orginally be based at the Auckland District Court, scheduled to relocate to Ellerslie in March 2027.

National Registry Officers (NROs) play a critical role in the successful operation of Centralised Services, working as part of either the National Registry or National Registry Services to deliver timely and efficient service to participants.

National Registry Services is the first point of contact for anyone calling the Ministry, from wondering what time their local court opens, queries about Jury Duty to questions about upcoming hearings. All our calls are unique, with every touchpoint in this team viewed as an opportunity to help people. We do so one-call at a time with respect and kindness at the forefront.

The National Registry focus on decision making and referring to legislation to process customer applications and responding to correspondence. The National Registry Officer role includes exercising powers as a Deputy Registrar of the District Court.

Utu ā-tau/Salary

The remuneration band for this role is $60,729-$80,794 – the appointing salary will be based on skills and experience
