Job Description
The Area Materials Management Department is seeking to appoint a Missionary Travel Coordinator based in the Pacific Area Office in Takapuna, Auckland. This is a one-year, fixed-term, full-time position.
As a Missionary Travel Coordinator, you will represent the Church as you work with Australian and New Zealand pre-field missionaries, mission offices, MTCs, local government, consulates and immigration offices. Your ability to maintain professionalism at all times and to communicate in a friendly and competent manner will directly influence the reputation of the Church in the community.
Responsibilities
You will plan travel itineraries; guide missionaries, families and priesthood leaders through the missionary visa application process; make travel bookings and liaise with local government consulates and offices. You will ensure adherence to policy and procedures and be a valuable team player.
Qualifications
- Proven organisation, prioritising and problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively manage numerous deadlines in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a strong customer service focus
- A reliable self-starter and able to work autonomously and as a team
- Have a demonstrated understanding of the English language (verbal and written)
- Has a willingness to learn, grow and develop, both technically and professionally
- Basic to intermediate understanding of the travel industry
- Current or previous travel industry experience is an advantage
- Tertiary qualifications in a related field or equivalent experience (desirable)
- Ability to work from 10am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday
