Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Office Administrative Assistant role based in Port Harcourt. The Office Administrative Assistant will manage day-to-day front office operations, including greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, and responding to general inquiries from families, staff, and partners. Responsibilities include maintaining organized records and files, preparing basic documents, handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, and supporting scheduling of meetings, school events, and appointments. The role will assist school leadership with routine administrative tasks, coordinate the flow of information between departments, and ensure supplies, office equipment, and reception areas are well maintained. The Office Administrative Assistant will also support basic data entry, help with communication to parents and guardians, and uphold a professional, welcoming environment aligned with the school’s values.
Qualifications

  • Strong Administrative Assistance and Clerical Skills, including filing, record-keeping, data entry, and document preparation.
  • Proficient Phone Etiquette and Communication skills for interacting with students, families, staff, and external partners in a professional manner.
  • Experience providing Executive Administrative Assistance or similar support to school leaders or managers is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email) and comfort learning new digital tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a school environment.
  • Demonstrated reliability, confidentiality, and a customer-service mindset when dealing with sensitive information and diverse stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in an educational or child-centered setting is beneficial.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma; additional administrative training or a relevant post-secondary qualification is an added advantage.
