Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Operations Associate to join our on-site team in Seoul, South Korea. The Operations Associate will oversee the day-to-day management of our micromobility fleet, ensuring smooth operations in line with company standards. Responsibilities include monitoring fleet performance, optimizing deployment and retrieval processes, analyzing operational data, and ensuring excellent customer service. Collaboration with the wider team to troubleshoot issues, enhance operational efficiency, and engage with local communities is also key to this role.

Responsibilities

  • Drive forward Beam’s operations across multiple operational verticals, planning and executing strategic projects to enhance top and bottom line metrics
  • Oversee the expansion of Beam’s footprint into new cities and vehicle types, tailoring and localising our approaches accordingly to individual market realities
  • Leverage a rich consumer data-set, developing insights into how we can innovate constantly on existing processes and products
  • Develop and oversee intelligent automation to continually enhance the capacity of operations to react to data in-real time
  • Manage the execution of operational initiatives via our various labour models, experimenting with commercial/incentive structures and engagement strategies accordingly to maximise productivity
  • Form close collaborative cross-functional relationships (inc. product, marketing, government relations, legal) to ensure smooth and cohesive business execution
  • Develop intimate understanding of the product and customers “beyond the data” by getting hands dirty and owning the service and operations on the ground

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in a dynamic startup, corporate or professional services environment
  • Structured and target-oriented when working on projects and analysis
  • Willing to take ownership and displayed strong problem solving skills
  • Experience in using data to understand and solve business problems – working knowledge of key data analysis and visualization tools, such as SQL or Tableau is a plus
  • Strategic thinker able to look beyond the data and consider the broader business context when making recommendations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with ability to develop deep working relationships with a wide rage of different stakeholders
  • Experience in mobility / logistics – is not necessary but a plus
  • Fluency in both Korean and English is mandatory
