Role Description This is a full-time, Remote/Hybrid Operations Manager role based in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area. The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day business operations, including resource planning, workflow coordination, and monitoring performance against project objectives and contract requirements. This role will manage cross-functional teams, support project leads, and ensure that quality management processes, documentation standards, and compliance requirements are consistently followed. The Operations Manager will help develop and refine operational policies, track key performance indicators, and prepare operational reports and updates for leadership and clients. The person in this role will also support budgeting and forecasting, assist with staffing and onboarding, and contribute to continuous improvement of operational efficiency across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in operations management, program coordination, or project management, preferably in a government contracting or consulting environment.
  • Strong skills in process improvement, workflow optimization, and implementing or maintaining quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition processes, contract management, or government procurement practices is highly beneficial.
  • Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, project management platforms, and reporting tools).
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent efforts.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal teams, leadership, and government clients.
  • Proven ability to lead and support diverse teams, build collaborative working relationships, and foster a culture of accountability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean, Six Sigma) are a plus.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area and, if required, obtain and maintain any necessary government clearances.
