Job Purpose
To lead and optimize the daily operations of the transport project. This role ensures operational readiness, strict adherence to contractual standards, and an exceptional passenger/visitor experience through effective stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Fleet & Route Management: Oversee daily operations, including fleet deployment, route optimization, and station management.
- Team Leadership: Supervise drivers, field operations, and customer service teams to maintain high performance.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure full alignment with quality, health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards and regulations.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary liaison with client entities, government authorities, and external partners.
- Performance Monitoring: Track operational schedules, trip timings, and service reliability against established KPIs.
- Vendor & Contract Management: Manage operational contracts and monitor supplier/contractor performance.
- Financial Oversight: Supervise ticketing systems and monitor daily operational revenue.
- Reporting: Prepare and deliver comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Risk Management: Mitigate operational risks and resolve field-based challenges proactively.
- Project Launch: Lead the pilot phase and the subsequent official launch of the project.
- Continuous Improvement: Propose and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (Mandatory): Engineering, Business Administration, Transportation Management, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing transportation, large-scale infrastructure, or major field service projects.
- Proven track record in Public Transport or Government Projects (highly preferred).
Skills & Competencies
- Strong operational planning and execution capabilities.
- Exceptional leadership and field team management skills.
- Solid understanding of government regulations and contract management.
- Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and KPI tracking.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, dynamic environment.
- Fluent in Arabic; professional English proficiency is a strong advantage.
