📍 Location: Mississauga, ON (4 days onsite)
🕒 Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8am–4pm or 9am–5pm
📅 Duration: June 15, 2026 – December 14, 2026 (extension & conversion possible)
💰 Pay Rate: $22.50/hour + 4% vacation pay
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Operations Officer I to support a Government Request for Information team within a large banking environment.
This is a 100% back-office role (no phones), ideal for candidates who thrive in structured, high-accuracy environments and want to build a career in banking operations.
What You’ll Do
- Process government information requests with high accuracy
- Meet strict SLA deadlines for service and productivity
- Work across multiple systems and databases
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive customer data
- Follow and apply operational policies and procedures
- Escalate non-standard or high-risk items as needed
- Contribute to process improvements and team knowledge sharing
- Participate in team huddles and ongoing training
Must-Have Skills
✅ Proven ability to meet SLAs and deadlines
✅ Strong attention to detail and accuracy
✅ Excellent multi-tasking abilities
✅ Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
✅ Experience with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
✅ Comfortable working with multiple databases and systems simultaneously
✅ Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly
Nice-to-Have
➕ Banking or branch experience
➕ Business or finance-related background
➕ Previous operations or back-office experience

- Post-secondary education
- High initiative, adaptability, and eagerness to learn
- Strong team player mindset with a positive attitude
- Long-term interest (potential for extension/full-time conversion)
- Ability to commute within ~30 minutes to Mississauga
