Role Description The Owner role at Dnet is a full-time, on-site position based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, responsible for providing strategic leadership and stewardship of the organization’s social enterprise mission. The Owner will oversee overall vision, long-term strategy, and organizational priorities, ensuring alignment with Dnet’s ICT-driven development goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising senior leadership, guiding program and product portfolios, monitoring financial performance, and making key decisions on investments, partnerships, and resource allocation. The role involves representing Dnet to stakeholders, donors, partners, and regulators, as well as cultivating new opportunities for sustainable growth and impact. The Owner will also foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and inclusion, ensuring that teams are empowered and supported to deliver high-quality work.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in social enterprise, non-profit management, or mission-driven organizations, with a track record of setting vision and driving organizational growth.
- Strong understanding of ICT for development, digital innovation, or technology-enabled services in emerging markets, ideally within the Bangladesh context.
- Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, business development, and financial oversight, including budgeting, risk management, and sustainability planning.
- Experience building and managing diverse, multidisciplinary teams, with inclusive people-management and change-management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management capabilities, including partnership development, donor or investor relations, and engagement with government or regulatory bodies.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills in English; proficiency in Bangla is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Development Studies, ICT, or a related field; a master’s degree (e.g., MBA, MPA, or similar) is an advantage.
- Commitment to social impact, ethical governance, and continuous improvement in organizational systems and processes.
