B&D Reside is the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham's dedicated housing provider, on a mission to deliver high-quality, affordable homes for working people. With plans to build around 1,500 new homes in the next two years, we're growing and we want a motivated Paralegal to grow with us.
You'll join a small, collaborative legal team where your work genuinely matters, supporting solicitors on real housing cases that directly affect the lives and homes of our residents.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll work across a varied and interesting caseload, including:
- Housing disrepair, anti-social behaviour, and rent recovery matters
- Preparing and filing court bundles and enforcement paperwork
- Attending County Court to support the team
- Managing case files, the legal mailbox, and court diaries
- Conducting legal research and supporting solicitors day-to-day
What We're Looking For
- LLB, GDL/PGDL, or CILEX Level 3/6 (or equivalent)
- Experience preparing court bundles and working with civil procedure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, well-organised, and able to work independently
- A genuine enthusiasm for housing law and developing your legal career
