Join the Town’s team as a Seasonal Parking Enforcement Officer, responsible for enforcing municipal parking regulations and engaging with the community. This role emphasizes professional public service.
Starting as soon as possible and concluding in October, this seasonal position involves monitoring parking meters and issuing violations. With a requirement for at least six months of relevant experience, candidates should possess strong communication skills and a customer service mindset. The role also involves working outdoors in changing weather conditions, with up to 40 hours weekly, including evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enforce parking by-laws and issue violations as needed
• Conduct minor maintenance on parking meters
• Provide courteous service and information to the public
• Keep precise records of enforcement activities
• Adhere to safety protocols while on duty
Requirements:
• Completion of a college Law & Security program preferred
• Six months of experience in parking enforcement
• Clean Record of Offences and valid Class G Driver’s Licence
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Capability to stand and lift 20–30 lbs throughout the shift
Contribute to public safety while gaining valuable experience with the Town.
