Role Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Partnerships Manager (Government Relations) to drive strategic relationships with influential individuals and key decision-makers relevant to our pool of luxury consumers. You are someone who moves comfortably in HNW & UHNW circles, who understands that relationships in this space are built on trust and genuine personal connection, not cold calls and bulk emails.
Key responsibilities:
- (Primary) VIP Network Relationship Building
- Identify, approach, and cultivate relationships with key influential figures in the luxury ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, C-suite executives, celebrity personalities, and social figures relevant in the Malaysian and Indonesian scene.
- Develop a personalised engagement strategy for each Partner, recognising that meaningful relationships with high-profile individuals require patience and discretion, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
- Keep influential figures engaged with MillionaireAsia Nusantara through thoughtful, ongoing touchpoints: exclusive previews, personalised events, introductions to fellow network members, and recognition of personal milestones (features on launches and their career achievements).
- Serve as the connective tissue between our VIPs and the broader MillionaireAsia Nusantara community, facilitating introductions and collabs that make both parties feel they are gaining something of genuine value from their association with the brand.
- Represent MillionaireAsia Nusantara at industry events and social gatherings, acting as a credible ambassador for the brand in every setting.
- Stay current on trends in the regional socio-political landscape, bringing market intelligence back to the team to inform new partnership strategies.
2. (Primary) Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the editorial and creative teams to ensure that partner content is seamlessly integrated, editorially coherent, and upholds the publication's high standards of storytelling.
- Collaborate with the digital and social media teams to extend partnership value across platforms, ensuring that partners receive visibility across print, online, and social channels as appropriate.
- Provide internal teams with timely briefs on upcoming partnerships, partner expectations, and campaign requirements to ensure smooth execution from sale through to delivery.
- (Secondary) Advertising Partnership Development
- Identify, pursue, and secure high-value advertising partnerships with brands that align with our publication's aesthetic, values, and audience profile, including in fine watches, automotive, real estate, private banking, fashion, hospitality, and wellness.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of each partner's campaign objectives, seasonal priorities, and brand direction.
Qualifications
- Up to 5 years of experience in strategic partnerships, community-building, or relationship management in either the government or premium sectors
- Proven track record of growing high-value partnerships
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with high-profile figures in the business, political and social space
- Ability to navigate complex social environments with sophistication and discretion
- Polished communication style to match the tone of the brand and the audience we represent (both written and verbal)
