The Iraq Partnerships Manager designs and executes the country's partnership strategy, building and managing relationships with strategic partners that accelerate the company's growth in Iraq. This includes channel partners, resellers, distributors, integrators, financial institutions, government entities, international organizations, donors, and ecosystem players. The role combines business development, account management, contract structuring, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

•        Develop and own the Iraq partnerships strategy, aligned with country business goals.

•        Map the partner landscape across federal Iraq and the KRG and prioritize high-value targets.

•        Define partnership models (referral, reseller, distributor, co-sell, joint venture, consortium, MoU) appropriate for each opportunity.

Partner Acquisition & Onboarding

•        Identify, qualify, negotiate, and sign new strategic partners.

•        Lead commercial and legal negotiations in coordination with finance, legal, and the Country Manager.

•        Onboard new partners with clear plans, enablement materials, and joint KPIs.

Partner Management & Growth

•        Own ongoing relationships with key partners as the primary point of contact.

•        Drive joint pipeline, co-marketing activities, joint proposals, and tender responses.

•        Track partner performance against agreed KPIs and conduct regular business reviews.

Institutional & Donor Engagement

•        Build relationships with international organizations, donors, embassies, and development agencies active in Iraq, where relevant.

•        Position the company for grant-funded, donor-funded, and PPP opportunities.

Cross-Functional Coordination

•        Work closely with sales, marketing, product, operations, and finance to ensure partner success.

•        Provide structured market intelligence and competitive insights to the Country Manager and regional leadership.

•        Maintain accurate partnership data and reporting in CRM and internal systems.

QualificationsRequired

•        Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, International Relations, or a related field; Master's preferred.

•        5–8+ years of experience in business development, channel/partnerships, key account management, or strategic sales, with a meaningful portion in Iraq.

•        Proven track record of building and scaling partner ecosystems and delivering measurable revenue impact.

•        Strong understanding of the Iraqi business environment, including federal Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

•        Experience structuring and negotiating commercial agreements (resale, distribution, JV, MoU, framework agreements).

•        Excellent network among Iraqi corporates, public sector, and ideally international organizations / donors.

•        Fluency in Arabic and English; Kurdish is a strong plus.

•        High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.

Preferred

•        Prior experience in a multinational company, large local group, or international organization operating in Iraq.

•        Familiarity with public procurement processes and donor-funded tendering.

•        Existing relationships with system integrators, banks, telecoms, ministries, or NGOs/IGOs as relevant.
